Privacy Policy

We use your email to log you in and contact you, and your portfolio data only to run rebalancing calculations. We do not sell your data or share it beyond what is needed to operate the service.

1. Who we are

Crowdfolio (ABN 63 284 572 294) is an Australian company based in Sydney, NSW. We operate the portfolio management platform at crowdfolio.com.au and the associated mobile application.

2. What personal information we collect

Identity and contact — your name and email address, provided via Google Sign-In (OAuth).
Portfolio data — securities, quantities, cost bases, and transaction history you enter or import. Used solely for rebalancing calculations.
Payment information — Stripe processes payments; we store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Usage data — page views and feature interactions collected by Google Analytics.

We do not collect health information, government identifiers, biometric data, or any other sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

3. How we collect it

Directly from you when you sign in with Google or enter portfolio data.
Automatically via Google Analytics cookies.
Via Stripe when you complete a subscription checkout.

4. Why we use your information

Name and email: account access and service notifications. Portfolio data: CGT calculations and rebalancing recommendations only. Payment data: managing your subscription. Usage data: improving the product.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with: Google (authentication and analytics), Stripe (payment processing), and infrastructure providers acting on our instructions.

6. Overseas disclosure

Google and Stripe operate servers outside Australia. By using Crowdfolio you consent to your personal information being processed in those countries.

7. Data security

All data encrypted in transit using TLS.
Portfolio data stored encrypted at rest and isolated per user ID.
Production access restricted to authorised personnel only.

8. Data retention

We hold your data while your account is active. On account closure we delete your data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email hello@crowdfolio.com.au — we will respond within 30 days.

10. Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or site notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
